The caciottelle, the flavor that tells the story of Roccasecca dei Volsci
A product tells much more than its flavor. It tells a community, a landscape, and a heritage of knowledge that is worth preserving.
On Wednesday, July 29, at 6:30 PM, Palazzo Massimo in Roccasecca dei Volsci will host “Le Caciottelle. The taste that tells Roccasecca dei Volsci”, the new event of Aspettando Gastronomica - The previews from the Monti Lepini to the Sea.
Starting from one of the symbolic products of the local tradition, the meeting will be an opportunity to reflect on the value of identity productions, their protection, and the opportunities they can generate for the territory. An open dialogue among producers, institutions, associations, operators, and citizens, to tell how food can become a driving force for development, identity, and promotion of the territory.
The meeting will also see the participation of Slow Food Monti Lepini and Ausoni, who will contribute to the discussion on the value of identity productions and food culture.
The evening will be enriched by theatrical snippets from Appunti per un’Epica Nostra, with Titta Ceccano and the original music of Roberto Caetani.
Following this, live cooking and tasting of local products, curated by the Associazione Ristoratori Terracina a Tavola, accompanied by the wines of Progetto Sete Vini Naturali, a tasting that enhances an idea of authentic wine, deeply connected to the territory and respecting its natural rhythms.
This event is a stop on a broader journey. With Aspettando Gastronomica, Gastronomica – Festival del Gusto, the DMO from the Monti Lepini to the Sea, and the Associazione Ristoratori Terracina a Tavola have chosen to network, involving municipalities, associations, producers, and local realities in a shared project of enhancing the territory.
A collective journey that connects culture, landscape, food and wine, and community, creating new opportunities for meeting and discovery for citizens and tourists.
