Gastronomica Festival of Taste in Terracina - Hotel Casa Yvorio

In Terracina, food culture is the protagonist of the first edition of a Festival dedicated to the culture of food and conviviality. This is proving to be surprising Autumn in Terracina, thanks to the first edition of Gastronomica – Festival of Taste, a cultural festival that for a month transformed Terracina into the “home” of the area’s food and wine culture.

Organized by the Restaurateurs Association Terracina at the Table, of which we are part, the festival has offered all citizens the opportunity to discover and rediscover the excellence in fish, agricultural, wine and food production of this portion of Lazio. Casa Yvorio, as per tradition, is very happy to participate in the events, to learn new things about food and its production, to weave new relationships with companies and producers.

Every year, during the seasonal break, Casa Yvorio dedicates himself to training and looking for innovations that can improve the experience of our guests. This year we have chosen to "play at home", supporting and participating in Gastronomic - Festival of Taste, an event that starting from November 8th has seen Terracina come alive with tastings, themed dinners, cultural events, meetings with industry experts, guided tours, workshops for children and contacts with companies and their stories. 

In Terracina a journey through food, tradition and sustainability

The festival was not just a journey through flavours, but an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of food in our lives. With the citizens, with the city's schools, with representatives of the restaurant world. Thanks also to the presence of Slow Food, which in Terracina boasts one of the longest-running Condotta, we explored the value of local production, the importance of sustainability and the role of culinary art as a creative expression and act of respect for the planet. For two days, the event was hosted by President Barbara Nappini, author of an enlightening book: “La natura bella delle cose”.
